Man, 26, Dies In Hubbard County ATV Accident

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 26-year-old man died Monday evening after an ATV he was riding hit a tree in Hubbard County.

According to the Hubbard County Sheriff's Office, shortly after 6 p.m. officers received a call of an ATV accident in Paul Bunyan State Forest.

Upon arrival, deputies found Aaron Sly, of Bloomington, with serious head injuries.

Sly had been riding with a group of others on ATV's along Steamboat Forest Road when he lost control of his 2001 Honda TRX400 and struck a tree.

Officers said Sly was wearing a helmet, but still sustained serious head injuries. They believe excessive speed was a factor.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
