Timberwolves Hosting Free Scrimmage For Public July 8

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- If you want to get an early look at the Minnesota Timberwolves before they head to the NBA Summer League, you can do next week without using your wallet.

The Timberwolves announced that they will host an open scrimmage at Target Center at 7 p.m. next Wednesday, July 8. The event will be free and open to the public. The doors will open for the general public at 6:30 p.m.

The scrimmage roster will include Andrew Wiggins, Zach LaVine, Shabazz Muhammad, Gorgui Dieng and Adreian Payne as well as the team's latest draft choices, Karl-Anthony Towns and Minnesota native Tyus Jones. Season members in attendance will have access to autographs after the scrimmage.

After the scrimmage, the Timberwolves will send a squad to Las Vegas for the NBA Summer League, which runs July 10-20.
