Dayton Police: Worker Killed In Welding Explosion

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Crystal Welding worker has been killed in an explosion Wednesday morning, according to Dayton police.

On Wednesday at 9:17 a.m., police say the 37-year-old man was welding on a pontoon float at the Dayton business when the explosion happened.

When emergency responders arrived, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

There were no other injuries.

The incident, which is being called an accident, remains under investigation.
