Sheriff: 85-Year-Old Hiker Found Dead In Northern Minnesota
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials in northern Minnesota say a missing 85-year-old hiker was found dead near a river.
The Lake County Sheriff's Office says it got a call Friday morning about a missing woman, Sarah Obrien of White Bear Lake.
An investigation showed that she went hiking near Encampment River on Thursday and didn't return.
Search teams found Obrien's body near the river's upper falls.
Officials say it appears that Obrien fell to her death.
