Police Evacuate Chaska Mobile Home Park After Finding Pipe Bomb

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Authorities are investigating after a pipe bomb was found at a mobile home park west of the Twin Cities Tuesday afternoon.

The Chaska Police Department, with assistance from the Minnesota State Patrol, was called at about 12:10 p.m. to a matter at 32 Judith Drive, which is a residence that is part of the Brandondale mobile home park. When officers arrived and during the course of the investigation on-site, they located what appeared to be a pipe bomb at the residence.

Chaska Police and Fire officials immediately began evacuating the area and blocked off access to the park. The Bloomington Bomb Squad was called in and disabled the device.

The Chaska Police Department said the mobile home park was reopened to residents shortly after 3 p.m. The incident is under investigation.
