Little, Sun End Six-Game Skid, Beat Lynx 78-77 In Overtime

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Camille Little hit a jumper, scoring her only points of the game, with 8 seconds left to help the Connecticut Sun beat the Minnesota Lynx 78-77 in overtime on Wednesday, ending a six-game losing streak.

The Sun closed the game on a 7-2 run, including Jasmine Thomas' 3-pointer that gave Connecticut a 76-75 lead with 27 seconds left.

Maya Moore, who scored 20 of her 25 after halftime, had one final chance but her shot with 2 seconds left missed. The All-Star forward hit a driving layup to give the Lynx a one-point lead with 17 seconds remaining, before Thomas found Little for the winner.

Thomas hit a 3-pointer with 1 second left in regulation, tying it at 69.

Shekinna Stricklen led Connecticut (8-7) with 15 points. Alex Bentley added 12 and Elizabeth Williams scored 10.

Minnesota was missing All-Stars Seimone Augustus and Lindsay Whalen because of injury. Whalen hurt her eye in the Lynx's last game and saw her streak of 106 straight starts, including the playoffs, come to an end.

Moore has scored at least 20 points in a Minnesota franchise-record eight consecutive games.
