2 Men Filed Civil Lawsuits Against Crosier Seminary Clergy

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Two former seminarians who say they were sexually abused as teenagers by clergy at Crosier Seminary in Onamia have filed civil lawsuits.

Attorney Jeff Anderson said Tuesday one man was molested at about age 15 to 17 by a priest and two brothers who were assigned to the seminary and the other man was sexually abused by the same priest, another father and a brother when he was about 14 to 15 years old. The abuse allegedly took place in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The plaintiffs are unidentified.

Anderson says several of the clergy members named in the complaints also sexually abused children in parishes and schools in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis and the Diocese of St. Cloud. The Crosier Community of Onamia did not immediately comment on the lawsuits.
