3-Year-Old James Tufts Becomes Youngest Mayor In Minnesota

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Move over, Bush and Clinton families -- another political dynasty is born.

The name of James Tufts was drawn as Mayor of Dorset, Minnesota on Sunday. He's the state's youngest mayor at age 3. That's two days younger than his brother Robert was, when he first held the post.

The job of mayor is just a ceremonial post in Dorset, a town of 22. A dollar gets your name in the jar, and a new mayor is drawn at random the first Sunday in August each year during the annual "Taste of Dorset."

Jennifer Mayerle stopped by Dorset during James's campaign, and we found out that his brother was a key political adviser.
