Nvidia Recalling Shield Tablets Over Fire Hazard

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Nvidia is recalling 88,000 shield tablets because the battery inside can overheat and pose a fire hazard.

The company said there have been four reported cases of the tablets overheating.

In two instances the tablets got so hot they damaged flooring.

Nvidia will replace the tablets for free.
