1 Dead In Stearns Co. Motorcycle Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One person is dead after a motorcycle crash in Stearns Co. Monday evening.

According to the Waite Park Police Department, at 6:15 p.m. officers received a call of a motorcycle crash in the area of 7th Street South and St. Andrews Drive.

Upon arrival, police found the victim on the roadway.

According to a witness, the motorcycle was traveling eastbound on 7th Street South at excessive speeds when it clipped the corner of a car.

The motorcycle left the road on the north side of 7th Street, hit a driveway, lost control and crashed.

Police said they attempted to administer first aid, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim was traveling alone and was not wearing a helmet.

No one else was injured as a result of the crash.

According to the Waite Park Police Department, excessive speed seems to be the cause of the crash.

The crash is currently under investigation.
