MANKATO, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota Vikings coach Mike Zimmer is expected to rejoin the team soon.

Zimmer missed practice Tuesday to be with his father, Bill, who has been in declining health. Zimmer was expected to return to Minnesota on Wednesday, when the team has a day off from practice. Training camp at Minnesota State University resumes on the field Thursday.

Vikings spokesman Bob Hagan says he has no update on the condition of Zimmer’s father.

Vikings center John Sullivan was also absent from practice Tuesday. Sullivan posted on his Instagram account that his wife, Ariel, gave birth to a son, John Harris.

A new season for the Vikings. Will our fixed medial keep up with or will they be looking for dirt. Like our DFL corrupt and Wimpy State GOP politicians ( RINO’S)
