Bird Flu Outbreak Means Shortage Of Eggs & Higher Prices

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Get ready to pay even more for a dozen eggs.

The massive bird flu outbreak earlier this year is now leading to a shortage of eggs.

Producers, many here in Minnesota, have been forced to destroy millions of chickens because of the disease.

One analyst says if the outbreak continues, retail egg prices could hit $6 or higher for a dozen.
