Slow-Moving Front To Spark Afternoon Storms
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A weak front sitting on Minnesota will bring afternoon thunderstorms to the central and southern parts of the state.
WCCO-TV meteorologist Mike Augustyniak says that the south-moving front will act like a conduit, firing up storms in central Minnesota around noon.
The metro area will be affected.
While these storms won't be severe, they'll be extremely slow-moving. Some communities could see up to an inch of rain.
By Sunday night, severe storms could pop up in southeastern Minnesota.
Following the rain, dew points will drop.
As such, Monday looks to be warm and comfortable, and Tuesday is shaping up to be a Top 10 Weather Day.
