Twins Reinstate Byron Buxton, Option To Triple-A Rochester

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Twins announced Monday that they've reinstated outfielder Byron Buxton from the 15-day disabled list and optioned him to Class AAA Rochester.

Buxton had been in Rochester with the Red Wings on a rehab assignment, which ended Monday. He was placed on the disabled list back on June 26 with a sprained left thumb suffered on stolen base attempt.

While on the rehab assignment, Buxton hit .417 in three games. He played 11 games with the Twins before the injury and hit .189 with one double, one triple, two walks, a stolen base and scored five runs.
