Firefighters Respond To House Fire In North Mpls.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Firefighters in Minneapolis responded Sunday morning to a blaze that started in a bedroom on the city's north side.

The Minneapolis Fire Department's Twitter page said the fire was on the first floor of a house on the 2600 block of Irving Avenue North.

It didn't take long for crews to knock down the fire, and firefighters remained on the scene to assess the damage.

The house's two occupants were accounted for, officials say, and they did not need assistance The Red Cross.

Sunday's fire marks the third the city has seen in two days. On Saturday, firefighters knocked down two other house fires while also dealing with intense summer heat.
