First Seats Installed At Minnesota Vikings' New Stadium
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Some lucky fans got to be the first to sit in the new seats at U.S. Bank Stadium following their installation.
Six Minnesota State High School League athletes along with two stadium builder license owners and their families were invited to test out the seats.
Jerry Conlin and his family have been season ticket holders since 1962. Along with another family, they'll have season tickets to section 224 where the new seats have been installed.
Mortenson Construction will install 64,000 seats at U-S Bank Stadium in all. An additional 1,400 will be put in Club Purple in 2016.
Seat installation is expected to be complete by next spring.
