Player Style Files: Twins Second Baseman Brian Dozier
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Brian Dozier had the highlight of being an American League All-Star selection this year, but his love for the game began when he started playing at 5 years old.
He said it started with his father, who was a T-ball and little league coach. He said his sports idol growing up was New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter.
He's originally from southern Mississippi, lives close to Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre and considers himself and avid hunter and fisher. He said he immediately gets ready for hunting in October once the baseball season ends.
