3 Men Abduct, Rape Woman In Van In N. Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - Minneapolis police are asking for help to find three men responsible for the abduction and rape of a woman.

Police say it happened early Saturday morning in North Minneapolis.

Police are looking for three men who abducted and raped a woman in North Minneapolis early Saturday morning.

The adult woman was walking near the intersection of Golden Valley Road and Girard Avenue North, when the three men assaulted her and pulled her into a white, 12-person passenger van that was missing two rows of seating.

The men raped her inside the van.

She was then forced out of the van a few blocks away, in the Tangletown area of North Minneapolis, near James, Hillside and Irving avenues.

"This is a one-off incident," Police Cmdr. Bruce Folkens said. "We have not seen this pattern or this type of suspect description in the past. It seems very unique at this time."

Police are looking for more information about the men and the van. The van has a longer window on the driver's side and a set of double doors with windows on the passenger's side. Police say it looks like this:
