Sheriff: 1 Dead In Kanabec County Structure Fire

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Authorities say at least one person died Tuesday night in a structure fire in north central Minnesota.

The Kanabec County Sheriff's Office, along with the Ogilvie Fire Department and Mora Area Fire Department were called to a structure fire Tuesday night in Ann Lake Township. That's located about 90 minutes north of the Twin Cities.

When firefighters arrived, they were able to put the fire out but also discovered a human body within the structure. The body has not been identified.

The Kanabec County Sheriff's Office, with assistance from the State Fire Marshal's Office, said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
