Officials Investigate Death Of 22-Month-Old In St. Cloud

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The death of a 22-month-old from St. Cloud is currently under investigation, according to the St. Cloud Police Department.

At 12:50 p.m. on August 30, officers responded to a call of a 22-month-old boy who was unresponsive after a fall.

Upon arrival, investigators began to look into the circumstances surrounding the fall.

The St. Cloud Police Department said the child was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital for medical attention.

The hospital determined he had substantial head injuries and transported him to Minneapolis Children's Hospital. On August 31 the boy died as a result of his injuries.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division.
