Sheriff: 1 Dead In Champlin Boating Accident

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- One person is dead after a speedboat capsized in Champlin Thursday afternoon, according to the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office.

Near Mississippi Point Park, onlookers pulled a man from the boat to shore and started CPR but authorities pronounced the man dead when the arrived around 3:55 p.m.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will identify the victim and determine a cause of death.
