Motorcyclist Dies After Driving In Closed Off Construction Zone

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota State Patrol says a motorcyclist died after driving in a closed off construction zone in Washington County Sunday evening.

According to the state patrol, the incident occurred shortly after 6 p.m. on southbound Highway 95 at Highway 36 in Oak Park Heights.

The motorcyclist was driving in the construction zone when it veered to the right and hit a hydraulic lift, according to the state patrol. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim's identity has not been released.
