Nat'l Salmonella Outbreak Linked To Cucumbers Reaches North Dakota

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A national salmonella outbreak appears to have reached North Dakota with the state confirming a case matching the others.

So far nearly 350 people have been sickened in 30 states including 12 cases in Minnesota.

Federal officials say cucumbers distributed by a San Diego based company are a likely source of the infections.

The state health department says they found the cucumbers were distributed to more than 100 customers in North Dakota and Minnesota.

That may include retailers and restaurants.
