2 Killed In Head-On Crash With Dump Truck In Isanti County
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Two people were killed in a head-on collision involving a dump truck in Isanti County Monday morning.
The Minnesota State Patrol said the crash happened at the intersection of Highways 65 and 107.
According to an accident report, Marjorie Ripperton, 78, was driving a 2011 Ford Fusion with Glenn Houtkooper, 84, as a passenger. They were traveling west on Highway 107 when they stopped at a stop sign at Highway 65.
When they attempted proceed through the intersection to continue west, but were hit by a dump truck traveling north on Highway 65.
Both Ripperton and Houtkooper were killed in the collision, and the driver of the dump truck suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol.
