Mpls. Police: Missing Boy With Autism Has Been Found

Update: Minneapolis police's John Elder says the boy has been located safe and sound. He says the boy returned home at 7 a.m. and was at a friend's house. It appears there was a miscommunication between the parents and child.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police in Minneapolis are asking for the public's assistance in locating a missing 10-year-old boy.

Jace Thompson was last seen around 7 p.m. Wednesday riding his blue and orange BMX bicycle in the area of Longfellow Park.

According to police, Thompson is a functioning autistic child. Police are concerned as he left home without important medications and this type of absence is abnormal for him.

Thompson is described as being 4'3" and 80 pounds with brown eyes and a shaved head.

Anyone with any information on Thompson or his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
