Kenya's Dominic Ondoro Wins 2015 Twin Cities Marathon

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Kenyan Dominic Ondoro has won the 2015 Twin Cities Marathon.

Ondoro finished the race from downtown Minneapolis to the state Capitol in St. Paul on Sunday with an unofficial time of 2 hours, 11 minutes, 16 seconds. The 28-year-old won the 2014 Grandma's Marathon in a record 2:09:06.

Another Kenyan, Elisha Barno, who edged Ondoro to win this year's Grandma's, finished second at 2:11:39, followed by Jacob Chemtai, also of Kenya, at 2:14:13.

Abraha Serkelam Biset of Ethiopia was the top women's finisher, at 2:31:39, followed by reigning Grandma's women's champion Jane Kibii of Kenya in second at 2:31:44 and Abnet Yeshanbel Simegen, also of Ethiopia, finishing third at 2:32:43.

About 8,500 runners participated.
