UPS, UnitedHealth Plan To Hire Thousands In Coming Months

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Good news for Twin Cities job seekers -- two major companies plan to hire thousands of workers over the next several months.

UPS plans to hire 1,400 people as the holiday season approaches. The openings are a combination of seasonal and permanent positions and include package handlers, delivery and tractor trailer drivers, and driver-helpers. The company is hiring at its Minneapolis, Eagan and Maple Grove Facilities.

UnitedHealth Group plans to hire approximately 1,700 employees in the next six months in the Twin Cities. In addition, more than 1,000 telecommuting positions are available for which Twin Cities residents can apply.
