St. Paul Buzzing About Project To Become Bee-Friendly

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) -- The City of St. Paul is buzzing about the chance to be bee-friendly.

And when they're talking about being bee-friendly, they're talking about a program involving bee habitats.

"Bee Real, Bee Everywhere" is the name an art project to install bee habitats around the city. It's part of an effort to save the insect's dwindling population, and it's being funded with $115,000 from the Knight Foundation.

The bee art project promises to involve literature, theater, music and film. There's also a plan to pass a bee ordinance in 2016, officially declaring St. Paul a bee-friendly city.
