Thousands Turn Out For Walk Against Breast Cancer

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Thousands of people came out to Minneapolis to fight against breast cancer.

The "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk" around Lake Nokomis was Saturday. The walk raises awareness about the disease and funds for research.

According to the American Cancer Society, almost 4,000 women in Minnesota are expected to be newly diagnosed with breast cancer this year, 620 will die from the disease.

This year, participants raised $325,000 dollars for the American Cancer Society.
