Man, 63, Dies In Anoka County Motorcycle Crash
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 63-year-old man died Sunday in a crash involving a motorcycle north of the Twin Cities metro, according to the Anoka County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities were called at about 3:39 p.m. to the area of Fawn Lake Dr. NE and Thames St. NE in the city of Linwood on a report of an injury accident involving a motorcycle. When officers arrived, a 21-year-old woman was driving a 1995 Chevy Monte Carlo eastbound on Fawn Lake Dr. NE and collided with a 2000 Harley Davidson heading westbound.
The operator of the motorcycle, a man from Columbus, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released pending family notification.
What led up to the crash is under investigation by the Anoka County Sheriff's Office, the Minnesota State Patrol and the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office.
