Dayton Sets Up Office To Target Economic Disparities Among Minorities

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Governor Mark Dayton is creating a new office to help workers and businesses of color find jobs and opportunity in Minnesota.

The new Office of Career and Business Opportunity will be housed at the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.

"This is a first and important step in addressing the troubling economic disparities facing people of color in Minnesota," Dayton said Sunday in a press release.

The new office will be led by a director and overseen by a member commissioner's senior leadership team.
