MNfusion: Phillips' Fall Flavors For Football Tailgating
Fall is the time of pumpkin. Pumpkin patches, pumpkin carving, "It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" and pumpkin spice everything.
There's even pumpkin flavored booze.
While I'm not one to turn down a pumpkin spice latte, or two, the orange gourd has never been my favorite. I often opt for a sweeter flavor, such as caramel apple.
This year, so has Minnesota's Phillips Distilling Company.
For a limited time, the distilling company brought back a favorite flavor in the rainbow of UV Vodkas – Salty Caramel Apple.
For those interested in trying it, what better way to incorporate the fall flavor than to mix it with a favorite fall sport – football.
So, UV created some tailgating recipes specific to their newest flavor and Vikings fans. And, in the process, discussed why the flavor is so great for the season and the sport.

What was behind the decision to bring UV Salty Caramel Apple back this year?
UV Salty Caramel Apple is a seasonal release, back by popular demand and available for a limited time only. With the transition to fall we're moving the focus to cocktails that complement the season. Salty Caramel Apple is one of my favorites in our entire line-up, it's the perfect balance of salty and sweet. It tastes like an orchard apple dipped in caramel and topped with just a hint of salt for the perfect fall flavor combination.

2 parts lemonade
Fill a highball glass with ice and pour all ingredients over ice.

2 parts soda water
Serve over ice in a lowball glass.

2 parts tomato juice
1 part celery salt
1 part Worcestershire sauce
Dash of hot sauce
