Patrol: 2 Minnesota Woman Killed In Northern Iowa Collision

SWALEDALE, Iowa (AP) — Authorities have release the names of two Minnesota women who were killed in a collision with a semitrailer on Interstate 35 in northern Iowa.

The accident occurred around 11 a.m. Saturday near Swaledale. The Iowa State Patrol says the two women were southbound when their car veered across the median and hit the northbound big rig. The truck entered the median and rolled onto one of its sides. The driver wasn't injured.

The patrol says the two women died at the scene. They were identified as 19-year-old Tiffany Jeanette-Rose Swenson of Ramsey, Minnesota, and 30-year-old Tara Lynn Nevins of Fridley, Minnesota.
