St. Paul Parks Permit Lottery Set For Monday

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- St. Paul residents and businesses can apply for popular park permits beginning next week, city officials announced Wednesday.

The Parks Permit Office on 1100 North Hamline Ave. will open at 7 a.m. on Monday with lottery numbers issued from 7 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. Verification of a St. Paul address is needed before getting a ticket.

The lottery numbers cannot be transferred to another customer once assigned.

Park permits will be issued to costumers with a lottery number starting at 7:31 a.m.

Non-residents can apply for permits beginning Monday, Feb. 1, 2016.

The city uses a lottery system due to the high demand for certain dates and locations – and to give residents and businesses an equal opportunity to make reservations.
