4 Things To Know For Jan. 10, 2016

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Here's a look at the four things you need to know for Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016.

Number One: Show Of Force Against North Korea

A U.S. B-52 bomber, capable of delivering a nuclear missile, was deployed to South Korea Sunday morning in retaliation to North Korea's announcement that it had carried out its fourth nuclear test.

The B-52 left the U.S. Air Force Base in Guam and flew over a U.S. air base in South Korea.

Number Two: Actor Sean Penn Helps Capture 'El Chapo'

A Mexican official says actor Sean Penn played a role in the recapture of the world's most-wanted drug trafficker on Friday.

Penn had a secret meeting with Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman in late 2015.

That interview appeared late Saturday on the website of Rolling Stone magazine.

Number Three: Powerball Jackpot To Reach $1.3 Billion

You can now dream about becoming a billionaire, instead of a millionaire.

Wednesday night's Powerball jackpot will be worth an estimated $1.3 billion.

No one matched all five numbers and the Powerball in last night's drawing.

Number Four: Vikings Take On Seattle

The Minnesota Vikings take on the Seattle Seahawks at noon at TCF Bank Stadium.

This is the first round of the playoffs. If the Vikings win, Seattle's Mayor will send fresh salmon, Starbucks coffee, and baked goods to Minneapolis.

If the Seahawks win, Mayor Betsy Hodges will send beer from Indeed Brewing Company, a "North" stocking hat and mittens from Askov Finlayson, dates from the Karmel Mall, and a Prince T-shirt.

The forecast for the game is frigid, with temperature barely reaching above zero.
