St. Paul Home Damaged In Fire, No Injuries

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) -- Authorities say there were no injuries but a St. Paul home suffered significant damage in a fire Sunday afternoon.

The St. Paul Fire Department responded to a house fire at 881 Desoto in St. Paul at about 3 p.m. Firefighters were able to put a bulk of the fire out, but they were still fighting the blaze from outside the home. Fire officials did not say if anyone was inside the home at the time of the fire.

Authorities say the cause of the fire is under investigation, but it appeared to started outside the rear of the home from a gas tank being removed from a car. There have been no reports of firefighters injured or suffering effects from battling the fire in the extreme cold.
