Report: Vikings' Kendricks Named NFC North Rookie Of The Year

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minnesota Vikings rookie linebacker Eric Kendricks certainly turned heads this year -- and now he has the NFC North Rookie of the Year honor to show for it.

The team of ESPN's NFC North writers voted Kendricks, 23, as the division's rookie of the year – just ahead of Green Bay Packers' cornerback Damarious Randall.

Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs also made the list, tying for third with Chicago Bears running back Jeremy Langford.

The Clovis, California native was drafted by the Vikings in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He was the 45th pick.

Kendricks was UCLA's all-time leading tackler and led the nation in solo tackles (101) in 2014, according to the Vikings.
