Mall Of America Cupcake Shop Hosting Its Own Caucuses

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A cupcake shop out at the Mall of America has its own way of keeping a tally on the presidential race heating up in Iowa.

They've got a cupcake for each of the candidates. There's the "Revolutionary" coconut-topped Bernie Sanders, and plain cream cheese Jeb Bush. Hillary Clinton is a Betty Crocker red, white and blue with pink on top.

And of course, the Donald Trump has a distinguished comb over.

"There may be a little bit burn out on all of the debates that are talking about serious issues and bombing ISIS, so this puts a little more fun, a tastier spin on the election," Cupcake Owner Kevin Van Deree said.

Right now Clinton is the cupcake leader at the Mall of America, with Sanders in second. On the Republican side, Rubio is upsetting the field with Bush just behind. Cupcake will be keeping a tally through the Iowa caucuses.
