2 Killed In Steele County Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle crash that killed two people in Steele County Friday morning.

According to the state patrol, the crash occurred on Highway 218 near milepost 30. A Honda Civic traveling southbound on the highway crossed the centerline and crashed head-on with a silver Chrysler van heading the opposite way.

The driver and passenger of the Honda were both killed. Their identities have not been released.

The driver of the van has been identified as a 79-year-old Blooming Prairie man.
