Woman Dies From Injuries In Andover Crash; 2 Kids Released From Hospital
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- One woman is dead and two young children were taken to the hospital after a rollover crash early Tuesday evening in Andover.
The Anoka County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened at about 5:45 p.m. near Bunker Lake Boulevard Northwest and 140th Avenue Northwest. A pickup truck driven by the woman went off the road into a ditch and rolled several times.
The woman and children were taken to the hospital, where the woman later died from her injuries. She had been identified as 40-year-old Kerra Marie Cameron of Ramsey.
The children -- ages 1 and 3 from Albertville -- were properly placed in child seats and were uninjured. They were taken to Mercy Hospital for evaluation and later released.
According to the sheriff's office, Cameron was not the mother of the children but was caring for them for the evening. The children have not been identified.
The crash is under investigation.
