Bookstore Sales On The Rise
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- First vinyl stages a comeback, and now so does the printed word.
The popularity of e-books like the Nook and Kindle had people predicting that bookstores would become a thing of the past.
However, new data from the U.S. Census Bureau shows bookstore sales are on the rise.
Sales rose by 2.5 percent last year, from $10.9 billion to $11.2 billion. That's the first year-over-year increase for the industry since 2007.
