Thumbtack.com: Minneapolis Is 10th Most Expensive Wedding City
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Out of 25 U.S. cities Minneapolis is the 10th most expensive to throw a wedding in, according to Thumbtack.com.
The online marketplace, which helps users find services by providing quotes and reviews, looked the cost of a 12 wedding services in cities across the country.
Services included things like cake, catering, flowers, hair and photography. They did not take into account the cost of a venue, dress or rings.
They found the average total cost for wedding services in Minneapolis was $13, 173.
The most expensive item was catering, costing an average of $4,057. The least expensive service was hairstyling at an average of $161.
Live music cost an average of $2,396. This was more expensive than San Francisco.
The least expensive city on the list was Sacramento, Calif. at $11,349. The most expensive was New York City at $16,077.
