Dozens Of Rescued Chihuahuas Arrive In Twin Cities

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Forty Chihuahuas have made their way to Minnesota in hopes of finding their forever home.

The Animal Humane Society in Golden Valley flew them here because of an overpopulation problem in California. Most are healthy for adoption, but some are euthanized in California because of the overcrowding.

AHS says the dogs are adopted within days here in Minnesota. Wednesday's arrival marks the 1,000th Chihuahua to receive a second chance by making the move to Minnesota.
