Former Senator Norm Coleman Tweets He's Cancer-Free
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Former U.S. Senator Norm Coleman spoke at length with WCCO back in February about his battle with throat cancer and the progress he had made in a clinical trial at the Mayo Clinic.
He announced on Facebook last October that he had been diagnosed. Coleman went to Twitter on Monday to provide an update on his status. After testing, he says he's cancer-free.
As my fellow cancer survivors know there are no sweeter words than what my doc said this morning after my test. "You have a clean PETscan".

Since his bruising 2008 re-election loss to Al Franken, Coleman has focused on a successful international legal career and his work for two political action committees that help raise money for Republican candidates.
Coleman said back in February cancer changed his perspective on everything, including politics.
