NSIC Rivals To Meet In Division-II Basketball Tournament

Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference rivals will meet in the first round of the NCAA Division II men's basketball tournament, when Minnesota State Moorhead plays Minnesota State Mankato in a Central Region quarterfinal game.

The No. 3 seed Dragons play the No. 6 seed Mavericks Saturday in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

On the Division II women's side, No. 4 seed Winona State has a Central Region quarterfinal game Friday in Pittsburg, Kansas, against Fort Hays State.

Both the men's and women's teams from St. Thomas have advanced to Friday's round of 16 in the Division III tournaments.

The Tommie women host Wartburg College of Iowa. The men play Whitman College of Washington in Rock Island, Illinois.
