Donations Stolen From Locked Safe In Alexandria Church
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police say a church is missing its donations after a locked safe was compromised Sunday.
Investigators say workers at First Lutheran Church first noticed the missing money on Monday morning. Employees told police the safe was holding cash and checks collected as donations that weekend during services.
Officers believe the theft likely occurred on Sunday in the evening or afternoon, but wouldn't say how much money was missing.
The Alexandria Police Department is investigating, and asks anyone with information to call 320-763-6631.
