Banham Selected For College Slam Dunk, 3-Point Contest

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The all-time leading scorer in University of Minnesota women's basketball history will participate in next week's College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Contest.

Rachel Banham was selected for the event, which takes place March 31 in Cypress, Texas. She is one of eight women's college basketball players selected for the three-point contest. The event features the top senior college basketball players who don't advance to the Final Four.

Banham has the Gophers' single-game, season and career records for made 3-pointers. She had 119 this season, including 10 against Illinois. She finished her college career with 354 made 3-pointers.

She'll likely be a first-round pick in this year's WNBA Draft.
