Dayton To Visit Callaway After Devastating Tanker Truck Vs. Train Crash
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Gov. Mark Dayton will visit the site of a fiery train crash in northwest Minnesota.
That train and a tanker truck collided in Callaway Thursday afternoon, forcing residents to evacuate.
The truck's propane burned for hours before a large explosion late Thursday night. Two people were hurt in the blast.
Canadian Pacific Railway says the truck, driven by 31-year-old Biya Buta from North Dakota, never stopped and pulled in front of the train.
The impact sent several train cars off the track.
Residents returned home Friday after spending the night in hotels and shelters.
