Cyclist Hit On Excelsior Boulevard In Satisfactory Condition

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A bicyclist who was hit on Excelsior Boulevard in south Minneapolis Saturday has been upgraded to satisfactory condition.

According to the Minneapolis Police Department, aroudn 2:45 p.m. Hennepin County EMS responded to a report a crash with injuries on Excelsior Blvd. just east of France Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers found 31-year-old Elisabeth Anne Melander, of St. Paul, had been hit while biking.

Melander was taken immediately to Hennepin County Medical Center.

She was listed in critical condition. She has since been updated to satisfactory.

The driver cooperated with police on the investigation. No charges have been issued as of yet.
