U.S. Postal Service Drops Price Of Stamps

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Stamp prices are decreasing!

Stamps are cheaper Monday than they were on Friday. For the first time since 1919, the U.S. Postal Service dropped the price.

They went from $0.49 to $0.47.

The Postal Regulatory Commission ordered the price drop to roll back the temporary price hike implemented because of the Great Recession.

If you have some recent Forever stamps, you will be losing two cents every time you mail a letter.
